Yep, Everybody's Still Talking About Christian Bale

The leaked Christian Bale recording is proving to be a life-saver for late-night talk show hosts, who must be getting tired of making Blagojevich jokes by now. It's also inspired more YouTube remixes than you could possibly imagine.

Unfortunately for Bale, it's been a really slow news week. The best thing he could do would be to randomly pop up on a talk show or SNL or something and poke fun at himself, but he's always been extremely press-shy and would probably refuse to do it. But for an example of what I mean, how great would it be if, instead of Steve Martin in the clip below, it was actually Bale?

It'd be a perfect move on Bale's part. If only he would actually do it.

Anyway, an hour after the Colbert bit, Conan O'Brien was on with a different riff on the same thing (if the embed doesn't work for you, here's the direct link):

Meanwhile, those crafty YouTubers have created Bale vs. Lily Tomlin and Bale vs. Bill O'Reilly mash-ups:

Honestly, after the simple humor of the recording wears off, the entire thing starts to feel dirty. Whoever leaked the recording was just some anonymous jerk close to production who wanted to drag Bale through the mud.
