Tom Cruise not a $20 million actor anymore?

Truemors is reporting that Tom Cruise's deal fell apart for Edwin A. Salt, an upcoming espionage thriller, because the studio didn't want to pay him his $20 million payday.

Apparently the words "over-the-hill" were used, so it's a bit ugly, although I suppose not as ugly as "Xenu would be very disappointed."

Yep, got the requisite Scientology joke out of the way, and now that I have, let me defend Cruise for a moment: personal issues aside, when he's working, he always brings his A-game. Always. It's like Mel Gibson: he's probably got some inherited tolerance issues, but he's an extremely talented filmmaker.
