HOLY CRAP! I am watching The View as we speak and the Hot Topics portion of the show just got a little hotter. Joy started out with the lists that Al Gore pointed out of reasons Bush should be ousted from the Whitehouse. Joy is even mad at Al Gore's choice of not running for the upcoming Presidential Election. In her opinion, he should. Rosie refused to get involved with the heated argument between Joy and Elizabeth because she didn't want to be accused by the Republican Pundits on TV for picking on Elizabeth, again. The latter was outraged that Rosie is blaming her what those shows are accusing Rosie of. Rosie argued that she was hurt that the other day she asked her if she thinks she's a "terrorist", or something like that, or that she doesn't support the Troops and Elizabeth's answer was sort of flip-floppish. Especially when she couldn't look Rosie in the eyes. Rosie was expecting a Yes or No answer but Elizabeth couldn't seem to say the words. Instead she spouted more blather to support her answers. Well, Rosie didn't like it. Elizabeth on the other hand thinks Rosie should take responsibility for her insinuating remarks regarding Iraq, Terrorism, and politcs altogether.
Whewwww!. Talk about a controversy. I think their "friendship" is done. Rosie is probably glad she's leaving the show after her 1 year contract. Barbara is probably seething with rage right now. Joy and guest co-host Sheri Shepard didn't know what to do during the heated argument. Joy was yelling out for the director to stop the show. LOL.
I wish I have a video to show you guys right now. The show is not over yet but I felt like writing about it here coz I know by tomorrow it will be all the rage in all the entertainment shows, CNN, and Fox News. Hey, don't forget, You've read it here first. :)
I expect a calm explanation from Barbara about why the show is called The View tomorrow. Hah. Is Rosie going to show up? How about Elizabeth? No offense to the pregnant host but my politics is pretty much inclined with Ro's :).

I wish that Rosie would shut up - they gang up on Elizabeth, which I think is wrong. If I were Elizabeth I would say nothing about politics, it's just asking for more arguments. Not a good thing in her condition. The president doesn't care about Elizabeth.

I listened to Fox news as they talked about how Rosie attacked Elizabeth and I was outraged. Rosie,never attacked Elizabeth and actually she kept her cool alot better then Elizabeth did.
Look, I'm no fan of Hasselbeck's. But to call her uninformed and act like Rosie is some fount of wisdom is ludicrous. Rosie shoots off her mouth with uninformed opinions just as much if not more than Hasselbeck.
For instance. How about her claim about the twin towers on 9/11? Steel can't burn from a gasoline fueled fire? That was Rosie's claim a little while back. How then does she explain that gas tanker overturning on the bridge/overpass in California the other week? The fire from it burned right through the concrete and rebar and cause a collapse of the roadway. How would that be possible given Rosie's command of the workings of physics?
Rosie is also a cheap shot artist that is pretty much incapable of carrying on a debate in which she does something other than yell and scream to try and win.
Don't think so? Well, try and remember back to when she had her own show. Shortly after Columbine she had Tom Selleck on there to plug his new TV movie, and nothing else, or so he thought.
Instead, about a minute into the interview, she ambushes him with questions about him being an NRA member and goes on to A) shout over him every time he tries to respond, and B) insinuate that as a NRA spokesman he basically spends his time endorsing gun related crimes.
It'd be fine to debate him if he'd known it was coming, but she pulled a cheap stunt and ambushed him. She claimed he knew it was coming, but his agent produced a faxed copy of the questions the show's producers sent to Selleck, and there was nothing on there about the NRA/gun control. She then tried to weasel out with saying her people neglected to send a copy with the gun control questions. Liar.
She's also a hypocrite when it comes to gun control. She wants to ban guns and not allow law abiding people purchase even the smallest handguns for self or home protection. Yet, what happened a few years back? Her bodyguard got busted for carrying a concealed weapon, a gun for which he had no permit. So, why does Rosie get to have a gun near her for protection, but others aren't supposed to be allowed to? Logic would dictate that's nothing other than hypocrisy on her part.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against a celebrity in her position having an armed bodyguard. But she can't enjoy that right and at the same time work to take it away from others. Not and actually have a leg to stand on in the gun control argument.
Other than being a decent spokeswoman for gay/lesbian rights, Rosie's full of shit.
Sandy, maybe hormones? Plus the fact that she has been criticized for months about not standing up to Rosie and Joy.
Shawn, thank you so much for that comment. I appreciate it. Although I did say I'm inclined with rosie's politics, there are some that I don't necessarily agree with. One of them is that steel fiasco thing during the 9/11 tragedy. Regarding gun control, I also have my own opinions on those as well :).
To quote Elizabeth, "I'm just saying," Elizabeth is the most opinioned bimbo I've ever heard. She makes zero sense and doesn't think beyond the small amount of republican rhetoric in her whittle head. Rosie usually ends up saying what needs to be said in response to Elizabeth's tired mutterings, but Elizabeth doesn't want to think - SHE STAYS THE COURSE! unfortunately, just as our president has - tired, trite and full of propaganda. Elizabeth is challeneged in her political thinking and doesn't even give a good argument - just a stupid one.

I wish I could post an update but the show wasn't on today because of the President's press conference. There are a lot of media twists regarding it which I didn't want to delve into since I wanted to hear reactions and such from their own mouths. I guess Rosie didn't show up today coz she was celebrating her partner's 40th birthday.
Tomorrow is probably taped. They do that on Friday's now. :( Well there's always Monday :).

I wrote to abc when they hired Rosie, I said this was one of my favorite shows but I will not watch again as long as she is on there.
Joy is a strong Liberal and I don't agree with her views, on the other side Elizabeth is a great conserative and I really like her, she has some morals for sure, if we could have more people like her our world might get it right.

i think Elizabeth's views are those of the moral majority and once again Rosie looks like the bad guy. One good thing about the U.S. is that we do have freedom of speech.................well, as long as you belong to that select group. While I am a law abiding citizen I do not support Elizabeth's view. We will miss Rosie.
I believe that people have every right to express their opinions, however there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. The wrong way is to beat people over the head who don't agree with you, the right way is to calmly discuss it and realize not everyone is going to come to an agreement. Rosie has a tendancy to bash people over the head with her words... this is not going to get anyone to open their minds to her view points. Nobody likes to get verbaly bashed in front of national television and says... hmm your right Rosie.
Whenever I see Rosie go on another rant all I can picture is... her in the 18th century gunning for that "guy" to be hung. She would be the person at the front of the crowd smiling with bliss if someone she hated was being hung. In modern day, I'm sure she'd be burning people like Bush at the stake for his opinions.
She is not productive with her opinions. I think Elizabeth has some serious balls to sit up there time and time again getting bashed continually. Some of you think she is a bimbo because she doesn't agree with your political views, but she is not a bimbo, she researches everything she speaks out on. She is a very smart and educated person who just happens to be beautiful. Don't hate her just because her opinions varry from your own. Respect her because she has an opinion, the same way you want people to respect you and Rosie for having yours.
This world will never come to peace if everyone is continually fighting with eachother. Respect people enough to hear their opinions, and don't gang up on them to force your own.
