I think pretty much everyone had seen the controversial interview. Judging from how CNN promoted it, and how much ratings they got after the show. It was sickening really. I mean, CNN? The way they did a minute by minute focus from her arrival to her walking into the studio..Ayayay. But then again, I did a live report blog on her house arrest-back-to-jail fiasco. So who am I to talk right? :) . Well it has been 2 days after her Larry King interview. I didn't want to write anymore Paris stuff here but after calming my nerves and gathering my thoughts I just had to share 2 keypoints on why I'm not completely sold out on her sudden "change".
She and Larry discussed her spirituality, religion, yada yada yada. Paris claimed she has always been a religious girl. She said she went to a Catholic school and that the Bible was her companion in jail. So, Larry asked her what's her favorite Bible verse. Not surprisingly enough, Paris was stumped. She couldn't give Larry an answer. She tried to look over her notes but I guess she wasn't prepared for the question so she just replied with, "I don't have any favorites", with her oh-so-adorable smile.
Then, Larry asked her what she would like to change about herself. Personality whatever. She reciprocated with : paraphrased of course "I don't like my high pitched voice. When I get really nervous my voice change. It gets really high and sometimes low..."
WHAAAAT? That's all she could think of to change? I mean I could think of a few profound answers to that right in the bat. Like, "I would like to be responsible and take care of my business and stop blaming my publicist for forgetting I shouldn't drive with a suspended license". Or, "Not get in the car while intoxicated" . Or "I'll try to be more involved in charities where I could help other people in need". Etcetera..
Whatever. She said she wants to start a transitional home for inmates when they leave prison. Hmmm, did she even talk to her fellow jail mates? Did she try to get to know them while she was inside?
I guess we shall see..............

Aha, I was waiting for your two cents!
I thought King’s interview with Paris was quite revealing. Whether people love or hate her, she receives an enormous amount of attention. There’s no doubt she’s great at marketing herself. I really think the industry thrives on supply and demand, all the while entertaining the masses like us!
Also, it is obvious Paris has a lot of growing up to do. You’re right; she should be concentrating on getting her image back. Here’s the problem with cleaning up – if she were to immerse herself into positive situations, giving back to the community productively – what if it was insincere? Would it matter?
Did you catch AC360? As much as I love Anderson Cooper I was upset at how critical and judgmental he was. Just because he was a do-gooder at a young age doesn't mean everyone privileged should be. People are dumb, make mistakes, and (hopefully) learn from it. And if they don’t? Well, let’s just say if Paris doesn’t learn her lesson I wouldn’t be surprised. How can she learn her lesson if she’s being reinforced every which way?
