MTV Movie Award Mania Makes Everyone Feel Old

MTV Movie Awards, ahhhhhcccckckkkkcckkhhhhkkk!

Didja catch the Awards last night? Me, I just caught parts of it, I caught the rest on YouTube. Or was it MySpace? I don't know, I'm just young and trendy like that, I don't even remember. By the way, that's Zac Efron pictured; again, I know that because I'm young and trendy. I swear. Doesn't he have awesome hair?

Because I didn't fully watch it, I missed the massive ads, subliminal and overt, for THE LOVE GURU, A LAUGH RIOT, OPENING JUNE 20TH! Sorry, just doing my part - MTV gets paid craploads for turning their entire night into one big advertisement, so I should too (I'll except my check any day now, Sony). Remember last year's Transformers-fest? When it won the brand new "Best Movie Not Yet Released" award? And hey, come to think of it, Transformers won Best Movie this year...hmmmmmmmm...

The one part I did not understand whatsoever: Step Up 2 the Streets beating out Juno and Harry Potter for Best Kiss. Step Up 2 made $45 million, while Juno made $130 and Harry Potter made $2-freaking-90. Yeah, those weren't targeted as exclusively at teenagers as Step Up 2 was, but...c'mon, folks. It's Best Kiss, a highly important category, and they sell it to Step Up 2. And it wasn't even a lesbian kiss!

P.S. I was just informed that mentioning MySpace and Zac Efron does not automatically make me young and trendy, and that both of those entities are in fact "so 2007."
