Looks like a Greek God to me

Now that Iron Man is a resounding success and Robert Downey, Jr. has suddenly made it as a leading man, Marvel can't talk about their projects in the pipeline fast enough. Iron Man 2, Captain America, The Avengers...and Thor.

Thor's another second-tier superhero, sort of like Iron Man was two weeks ago. He's not just named after the god of Greek mythology - he is the god of Greek mythology, except in the comics, he's sent to Earth to be a superhero under the guise of disabled doctor Donald Blake.

According to Latino Review, they're going after Brad Pitt for the part. You shouldn't necessarily get excited yet, though; pretty much every big-budget movie ever made shoots for the major stars first before finally settling down a couple of notches to the first guy that says yes. It was originally rumored that Tom Cruise would play Iron Man, for example. And more recently, they pursued Russell Crowe to play the bad guy in Star Trek for about three months before finally giving up and hiring Eric Bana. So we'll see. Pitt's already played Achilles, so I'm sure Thor would be a walk in the park for him.
