Lindsay Lohan gets some Labor Pains

Lindsay Lohan is currently filming her new movie, entitled Labor Pains. That's right, she got cast in a new movie.

The flick's about a woman who tries to fake a pregnancy for nine full months to avoid getting fired from her job.

Given Lohan's history, it was apparently a huge hassle for the filmmakers to get the necessary insurance to move forward with filming. I'm just baffled by how they found financing. None of the production companies listed on its IMDb page are major studios, and there's nothing about distribution.

At best, this one's going to come and go like Just My Luck; at worst, it won't get a release. The best thing for Lohan to do - if she wants to remain a movie star - is try to weasel her way into ensemble films and build up credibility from there. She was mostly terrific in A Prairie Home Companion, but then everything went to hell.
