Jordin Sparks is the new American Idol

Thank Goodness. I would've been pissed off if Blake won. No offense to the talented beat-boxer, but Jordin IS the Idol. She could sing her heart out to any genre of music. I don't think Blake cared that much anyway. He'll have a record no matter what.

Other thoughts about the show last night :

I was happy to see Kelly Clarkson. She performed 2 songs. Her new single, "Never Again" which she sang with so much angst. Wheww. Then her rendition of Sgt. Pepper with Joe Perry was rockin'.

Sanjaya. OI VEY.

I was glad to see all the past winners but where was Fantasia? Hmmm.

Blake did a duet with the supposedly legends of beat-box singing but Jordin did a duet with Reuben. Whaaaaat? I mean no offense to Reuben but I think she could've done a duet with someone more legendary that him. C'mon.

The Golden Idols presentation were awkward. I flipped the channels during it.

Paula at the red carpet looked and sounded like she was under something. Either pain killers to ease her pain from breaking her nose the week before or some alcohol swimming around her system...Hahaha.

I think the guests were pretty tame compare to the ones last year. I mean, Prince was in attendance last year. Oh well, Jordin won and Sanjaya's hair stayed in place. Too bad his key was all over the place when he perfomed his solo. :)
