Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer break up

In the eternal force of balance that is Hollywood, as soon as two people get married, two have to break up. So: sorry, Jennifer Aniston.

"I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right," John Mayer told reporters, according to Star.

Just to prove he's a nicer guy than Brad Pitt, he added that Aniston is "the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I have ever met."

He also denied cheating on her -- after being asked about some photos of him in a hot tub with two other girls -- saying, "You're either a cheater or you break up, and I'm not the first. I'm the second one, and that's it. There's no lying, there's no bullshit."
