It's Official, No More Rosie On The View

On Friday, Brian Frons, president of Disney-ABC's Daytime Television Group has issued this official announcement regarding Rosie's departure from The View following a very heated argument between Ro and Elizabeth.

In a statement Friday, Brian Frons, president of Disney-ABC's Daytime Television Group, said, "We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to 'The View' and wish her well."

Here's what Barbara Walters had to say :

"I brought Rosie to the show. Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at 'The View.' I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change."

I guess that's that. Would the show continue their audience giveaways? Rosie has always been good in giving stuff away to people. Granted the stuff were from sponsors, I believe Rosie has a lot to do with that segment of the show. I don't remember the show giving away that much free stuff to the studio and home viewers alike when Meredith Vierra and Star Jones were still in it. What about the conffettis? Who is going to replace her? I don't think they'd find anyone who could fill her shoes. I've been hearing rumors about Roseanne Barr replacing Rosie. Hmm, I guess we'll see.
