Harry Potter ban debated

harry_potter.jpgWon't somebody please think of the children?

With this plaintive cry, overprotective mothers of both the real and fictional variety have launched a thousand asinine campaigns against perceived indecency. The latest such attack comes from the state of Georgia and concerns the damaging effects of one Harry Potter.

Laura Mallory, a mother of four, told a hearing officer for the Gwinnett County Board of Education on Tuesday that the popular fiction books are an "evil" attempt to indoctrinate children in the Wicca religion.

If Ms. Mallory is that concerned about protecting her children from harm, she should probably consider the pummeling they will receive should this move succeed and her kids are identified at school as offspring of the loon who took Harry away.
