Eric Bana joins forces with Judd Apatow? And Sandler?

Judd Apatow reportedly wants Eric Bana to co-star in his new movie, which stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, and Leslie Mann and is set in the world of stand-up comedy.

It'll be Apatow's third directorial effort after The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, although he's co-written or produced pretty much every comedy to come out in the past year. Seriously.

If Bana seems like an odd addition to the Apatow clan, it's worth knowing that he was actually something of a comedy star in Australia before coming over to the States and becoming a "serious" actor. (He was also name-dropped in Knocked Up for playing a kick-ass Jew in Munich.)
