Christian Bale's Unfortunate Outburst

Well, this won't help shed Christian Bale's reputation as an uber-intense actor.

A three-minute-long audio recording of Bale going off on a profanity-laden tirade on the set of Terminator Salvation leaked online yesterday, to the delight of everyone in the gossip world. The recording first surfaced at TMZ (anyone surprised?) and features Bale shouting the F word nearly forty times at director of photography Shane Hurlbut, who walked through Bale's line of vision while they were shooting a pivotal dramatic scene.

The story goes that the people behind the movie sent the recording to the insurance company for evidence just in case Bale ended up walking off the film completely -- which, to his defense, it does not sound like he had any intention of doing.

He does say that if Hurlbut did it again, he would leave the set unless Hurlbut was fired. A lot of sites are misreporting that he said the second part without including the qualifier. Might sound like splitting hairs, but there's a difference.

Already, co-star Terry Crews and co-producer Bruce Franklin have come to Bale's defense and downplayed the incident. (Franklin: "It was the most emotional scene in the movie. He is very intensely involved in his character. He didn't walk around like that all day long. It was just a moment and it passed.")

Still, the damage is done, and already, a clever YouTuber has produced a music remix of Bale's rant. Hear the initial audio below, followed by the remix (both obviously NSFW).

P.S. Notice how Bale slips in and out of his British accent throughout the whole thing? Weird.
