Britney Spears @ VMA 2007 Pictures and Thoughts

It was the talk of Vegas town all weekend. Britney Spears opened the VMA 2007 in Vegas. I thought the venue was so apropos and also the best event to debut her single "Gimme More". I was looking forward to this all weekend long. This is the Britney I love. The performer. Other music stars were also looking forward for her "comeback". Nelly Furtado said Britney has been primed for this business so it's all good. While Mary J Blige said after all the Britney has went through, you cannot NOT root for her. Nelly the rapper said, America is all about picking ourselves up so Britney will be fine.

As a loyal fan of Britney, and I say that as a wannabe sister who wants to scoop her up, smack her in the head a couple times, maybe take a couple of shots with her afterwards, then yell at her to get her head out of her ass, and start shaping up for the sake of herself, her boy and her career, I was kinda disappointed with her performance. I've seen her perform so much better. She looked awkward. I don't know if it's the size of the stage, coz it's relatively small, or the fact that her abs don't look as hard as they used to be. Don't get me wrong, for someone who's had 2 babies in a span of a year and a half, she looks great. Or maybe she wasn't gyrating to the music as hard as she used to in fear that K-Fed's lawyers are planning on using her performance at the custody battle, hah.

Either way, I'm glad to see her perform again and the song is catchy. I like it. I'll surely buy her new album once it comes out on November. And I don't care what any of you say, she's a Hot Mama. I'm a mother of 2 and I sure don't have that body. Yes, she's drinking and eating a lot of cheetos but hey, it's not much better than inhaling 5 pounds of roast beef, downing half a galloon of iced tea and half a sheet of chocolate cake all to yourself. So better put those fingers down. Coz like her opening number said which was the best part in my opinion, "IT'S BRITNEY, BITCH!" :D :D

   I saw the video just now. I dunno what to think. I am a bit disappointed too because I thought she was going to show us her killer dance moves especially with her catchy new single and all.

   Maybe she was nervous or something but I really think that was the perfect time for her to show everyone what a great performer she is. Too bad she didn't. :#

   I think I may just have gone off Britney. :/

   I just saw it this morning and felt bad for her too. Truth is her body is decent, not horribly bad at all. Her choice in costume (and everyday attire) may be questionable but still! Everyone has issues with their comeback, but I bet her next performance will be kick azz.

   KFed and her together was a bad mix from the start. Sadly, people tend to be harsher on the females especially when they're moms. And even moreso with Brit because of the industry she's in!

   I was rooting for Britney to make a comeback, because I used to really like her music. Now, there has just been so much drama. I hope she can recover. I've already said that so many people are making excuses for her poor performance, that I won't take her seriously until she speaks on it.

   Hi Roberta, I think right now she's too busy fighting K-Fed with their custody battle. Drama after another. I'm hoping one huge celebrity who might be able to give her advice could help her sort everything out. I just wish someone would step up coz at this point Brit needs a trustworthy person who can keep her in line to save her from herself and money-grabbing people that she surrounds herself with.
