Blake Lively and Penn Badgley still quite photogenic

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley of Gossip Girl both showed up to the "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" Costume Institute Gala in New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art this past Monday.

Even though this is the first I've heard of it, apparently it's a must-go fashion event for celebrities like Hilary Duff, Gisele Bundchen, and Ivanka Trump. Oh, and no-names like George Clooney, Katie Holmes, and Julia Roberts. Personally though, I'm partial to Lively, because she's the only girl who can dress up in wildly bizarre "fashionable" outfits and actually look hot (see: her in Gossip Girl) instead of completely ridiculous (see: Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada).

   I thought this year's theme was so relevant considering the resurgence of comic books gone to the movies. If it weren't for costumes, it just wouldn't be the same!

   All these designers and their muses, eye candy for fashionistas.
